The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Knoxville seeks a Part-Time Evening Adjunct Instructor of Phlebotomy.

POSITION SUMMARY: To provide quality instruction for student learning and maintain a positive classroom learning environment. The primary emphasis will be placed on teaching and evaluating students in the classroom and laboratories.

Job Duties

  • The part-time Adjunct Instructor of Phlebotomy is responsible for teaching didactic and clinical skills to students and supervising them in the classroom and skills laboratory; evaluating and advising students; maintaining records and completing reports; and participating in the development of the program. This program will follow the National Healthcare Association-approved curriculum. - (Essential)

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensed Tennessee Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse with IV Certification, or Licensed Paramedic.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in phlebotomy.
• Must have current CPR certification as an American Heart Association Instructor.

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written communication and computer skills.
• Evidence of ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.

SALARY:  The rate is $35.00 per hour.
