Position Title Coordinator of HVACR &amp; Technical Career Programs/HVACR Instructor Job Category WFD Range Minimum 82,800 Position Type Grant Funded Department Workforce Development - Administration Job Summary The HVACR Program Coordinator/HVACR Instructor coordinates the scheduling and usage of the laboratory facilities related to HVACR and co-located technical career programs. The coordinator ensures the maintenance of all equipment and responds to department requests for information on lab materials and equipment for the purpose of replacement and/or upgrading. The laboratory support of instruction is of primary importance and the coordinator achieves this through personal effort and the effective supervision of other instructors and student aides. In addition, this position has responsibility for developing and delivering HVACR technology programs, including apprenticeships, through the Center for Workforce Development. The coordinator will assist in student and employer partner recruitment through facility tours, information sessions, and other outreach efforts. The individual coordinates with other areas of the CCM community to ensure a positive student experience. The HVACR Program Coordinator/HVACR Instructor will: <ul><li>Develop curriculum to support HVACR training programs including apprenticeships, boot camps and other program constructs using self-paced, online, and traditional delivery models. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong track record in healthcare leadership and program development, serving as the Division Chief of Pediatric Cardiology. This role includes co-leadership of the Kentucky site of the Joint Pediatric and Congenital Heart Program and a permanent position on the Program Steering Committee for the Partnership. The faculty member will also collaborate on research activities for clinical projects and care reports, as well as participate in professional development activities such as regional, state, and national meetings. The Kentucky Children’s Hospital has Eastern and Central Kentucky’s only Level I pediatric trauma center, Level IV newborn (neonatal) intensive care unit and pediatric intensive care unit. In addition, this facility houses more than 30 advanced sub-specialty programs, such as pediatric oncology and pediatric surgery. Our collaboration with the Cincinnati Children’s Heart Institute means we have joined forces to provide advanced pediatric heart care close to home for patients in Kentucky. The collaboration combines the strength of UK HealthCare’s advanced pediatric and adult congenital heart care with Cincinnati Children’s nationally ranked experts in pediatric cardiac care and surgery.
