<h2>Basic Purpose:</h2>
The purpose of the maintenance mechanic is to troubleshoot, repair and perform predictive and preventative maintenance of packaging, milling and blending equipment.&nbsp; Secondary duties include, but are not restricted to, upgrading and installation of new equipment, electrical, welding, machining, mechanical, etc., while maintaining the highest safety, quality, cost and GMP standards in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Participate and assist in the installation of new machinery. </li>
<li>Inspect machines for parts wear and recommend/participate in making necessary repairs. </li>
<li>Ensure that all paperwork including daily end of shift reports, inventory, safety sheets (ex: hot work permits, confined space) and supply requisitions are accurate. </li>
<li>Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiate action, as necessary.</li>

When working from the base location, the position will be an integral part of the facility maintenance team or potentially the fabrication shop, depending on the specific site. This role will involve a high amount of travel to other Veolia Service Centers, primarily within the same region (South/West/Central or East/North/Central) to support facility expansion or upgrade projects, and occasionally to visit customer sites. While working at other locations the primary function of this role will be to lead the on-site execution teams for Veolia's facility capital projects. This is a multi-faceted position that will require a blend of facility management, project leadership, and hands-on technical skills to support the growth of our services operations. Key Characteristics: <ul><li>Travel to Veolia facilities to lead on-site installation of CAPEX projects. </li><li>Provides leadership &amp; instills best EHS standards for the site teams</li><li>Basic on-site project management - material control &amp; receiving, on-site spot engineering </li></ul> Duties &amp; Responsibilities: <ul><li>Manages on-site team daily/weekly work tasks and schedule </li><li>Works in partnership with CAPEX project manager &amp; maintains clear communication to ensure smooth and efficient operations</li><li>Assists on-site teams with basic installation and machinery troubleshooting</li><li>Read and redline engineering drawings and P&amp;ID's </li><li>Works in partnership with project engineering team </li><li>Ability to support mechanical or electrical or other physical installation activities</li><li>Set and follows good installation housekeeping practices </li><li>Is available on-call for emergency needs to maintain project install schedule</li><li>Maintains records and reports as required or needed for install</li><li>Works according to the Plant or facility maintenance leader directions </li><li>Demonstrates excellent EHS standards and follows policies/procedure in order to keep self and others injury free </li><li>Assists team members when needed with machinery, repairs and installation troubleshooting</li><li>Install new equipment or re-arranges existing equipment.</li><li>Performs preventative maintenance activities at the facility or within the 'Mobile' fleet </li><li>Ability to act as a resource for training or maintenance operations when needed. </li><li>Perform building and ground maintenance</li></ul> Qualifications Required: <ul><li>High School Diploma, G.E.D., Home School Certification, or international equivalent to High School Diploma</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of PVC plumbing, OR mechanical repair and maintenance work experience or training</li><li>Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time.</li><li>Ability and willingness for on call status for emergency response</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision</li><li>Basic electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming &amp; 480V 3-phase electrical repair</li><li>Ability to apply to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form and able to read a P&amp;ID. </li><li>Experience running Schedule 80 PVC pipe (2" to 8"). </li><li>Experience with Microsoft OR Google computer programs</li><li>Up to date knowledge of OSHA Regulations and standards</li><li>Ability to work in confined spaces with 14"x18" manways</li></ul> Preferred: <ul><li>Associate's degree in electrical, industrial / mechanical, engineering, or water treatment disciplines</li><li>Trade school experience for plumbing, carpentry, and/or mechanical repair is highly desired</li><li>Positive displacements pump repair experience.</li></ul> Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
